hi all new to the site and to the vw world

hi there,

my name is mark neal (marky)
ive recently just bought a 1990 1.8 20v turbo cabbie off jammie newland  nearly 2 weeks ago who is a member on here.
love the car great solid drive with just enough power, not to much but not slow. i will have to work out how to put pics up etc
and show you the car and the work ive done so far. i have some plans and some bits on the way to me as we speak so i will keep you informed

no matey iam based in the northeast, i got the train down and made the 6hr drive home in the motor with no issues apart from trying to find a petrol station that was still open down near norwich etc  :?

Cheers it's a great car, just doing the tidy up jobs on it really, and adding my own touches to it. It's great to drive now I've fixed the boost ( there was a loose pipe )

From what I've heard the engines are brilliant and highly tuneable… do you know what bhp your putting out?  Honestly mate… no idea what you paid but looks like a professional conversion…. looks very, very nice.  You bringing it to the AGM in July?

It's using the qpeng wiring harness and ecu with the 200bhp set up, up untill I found the loose boost pipe I had my doubts but now it's fix I think it could be around those figures. I don't think I can make the agm due to work commitments

welcome to the site mate and to the scene, we're a friendly lot, some us us have some screws loose (spud) but we're all for the mk1 so thats all that matters! hope you can make the AGM mate! lush motor by the way, engine looks top notch in there!! you had any issues with the different lump?

not sure what you mean by "just enough power" when you have a 20v under the hood  :mrgreen:
