Hi all !!! introducing Biagini Passo

Hi all !!!

My name is Manu, I live in Spain -not far from Madrid- and I've recently bought a 1993 Biagini Passo … 8)

The body is the same as Cabrio MkI, but has syncro transmission and 1.8i engine with 98 hp.

A brief video…

Yeeessss, yes, not 100% a Golf, but my pros & cons are very similar than Cabrio owners have … and probably solutions are common … so I'll try to learn about them.

Kind Regards,

Manu

Thank you both !!!

Better…. better call it "Country Cabriolet" than "Biaggini Passo", absolutely unknown name.

A friend of mine has recomended me to "dress" it with Golf headlights and grille … but not sure…

Bagini is the company in Italy who made them, there's a thread about the MK2 Golf version which was called the "Golf Country".

Five mins and I'll dig it out for you, I always thought it was a MK2 Shell, I'm glad I've been proved wrong though! :D

Negociation was not ordinary as the car first owner was a German company (VAG provider). This unit lived in Germany from 1993 to 2001, when it was sent to Barcelona's subsidiary (Seat factory) till last month. Negociating with accountants a classic car prize is something "strange".

So … so they asked last year 4.500 Euros, I asked for some info, but didn't consider it as a good quote ….  and fortunatly nobody bought it …. and this year the new staff reconsidered the prize below 2000 euros… what was more interesting for me.

So….. so….. I catched a flight a friday morning at 6:00 from Madrid to Barcelona after only seeing some pics … bought it at 10:00… and at 13:00 I was driving to the pirinees to skiing with some friends that same weekend. Crazy but worked !!!

I've got some things to fix (lots of noises of bad adjustments of windows and check suspension bushes) but in general the car is Ok. It has 100.000 km (around 60.000 miles) and they gave me all the maintenance bills.

Definitely , I'm going to leave it "original". Here there are a couple of the interior … with more MKI things … the Nardi steering weel is nice, but not adequate for an AWD car …

Tomorrow I'll check the headlights wash mechanish, so I'll try to take some pics of the 1.8i engine…
