Hi all. I'm a newbie from lincolnshire
Hi, I'm sam from lincolnshire, I'm an apprentice welder at the moment, I'm 16 (soon to be 17) and currently looking for my first car, I've always wanted a mk1 golf. I've been shopping around a lot and begining to think I'm not going to have the money to insure myself, pretty much all quotes have been sky high. Thought that I might be able to get a few tips about which companies are best to use when it comes to insuring a mk1, I suppose a few peeps on here might have been in my position before !

Try a 1.1, 1.3 or a 5 door 1.5 and use compare sites on those engine sizes, i know its hard these days for insurance but ringing round and using internet does help fella. I have been with Adrian Flux for a few years now and have always liked them never had any real issues with them and always price matched if found cheaper on things like confused.com
Theres a few small engined cars out there however you youngens are bumping prices up plus they are now probably rarer than gti's lol
