still pondering over the purchase of the golf GTI cab. I will need to patch up the roof asap for winter. does anyone have advice on what to use and where to buy it from?

Also, whats the story on engine overhaul at 100,000 miles. Is this really required? And at what kindof expense are we talking?

i dont think an engine needs rebuilding at 100,000 miles,if its smokey,knocking or rattleing then u should start looking into getting engine work done,as for the roof-i aint got a clue as i have a tin top

I got some tape from halfords for a cut in my roof cant remeber what it was called bu I pt it on from the outside and its held ok and doesnt leak. I think if you try carhood warehouse (googe them) they will do roof repairs or try searcing Cab roof repairs theres a lot of companies out there.

Duct or Duck tape is very good and if applied when dry will stay watertight for a few weeks…

Welcome   Think you can buy roof repair kit from some places, if not the duck tape is good stuff as said above
