hey kids!

Just joined the forum, however ive been looking everyday at the forum, more specifically the for sale and restoration section.  Some absolutely fantastic cars and im hoping to get myself one in just over a year (weekend car along with my mk4) once i have some finances and decide how to go about it and research into the cars a bit more rather than end up buying it and realising any repairs would be too much work and too expensive.  I used to live with Kins if any of you know him? so i know a little bit about them from him having his mk1.  Ill have to decide if im going to get a cheaper one and do repairs even tho im not experienced (my experience is filling, spraying and changing panels on novas) but you only learn by doing it.  or speand a large amount for a very good nic one.  Hopefully spend around ?1000-?1500 and whatever work had to be done would be done, i think id get alot of pleasure from working on one.  Only concern is how it seems nearly all mk1's come up for sale in the south and not the north east and the non existance of a north east massive, haha.

anyway im going to stop rambleing just wanted to say hi and im sure ill speak to you all soon!

I bet that must have been a real buzz driving it when you got it though? are they really as much fun to drive as people say? ive not had the pleasure as of yet  :(
