hey folks

hey everyone  im new to this site as you can tell, ive just got myself a little mk1 1980 gli cabrio project to add to the fleet. the plan is to get her welded up, finish fitting the new hood a set of nice wheels and bring her a bit closer to earth (the lower the better   ) i have a corrado interior to try and fit, then possibly the abf lump ive been offered.
 this is intended as my daily and is being built on a very tight budget so i expect i will be asking lots of questions allong my way and to start as i mean to go on. How do i find the engine code for my current engine?

Glad you found us… out of interest how did you find the site was it through google?  You'll find loads of helpful people on here and if you need parts pm funk-star as he's a good bloke and advertiser of 2nd hand parts on here  :wink:
