HEY and i need help please!

A newbie, first post so good afternoon gents.

own a lovely mk1 cabriolet but having issues with one of the immobiliser keys. It just doesn't work like the other, as I understand it should mobilise the engine and indicate this via a red blinking light. have been searching everywhere for tips etc but all answers seem unclear so any help would be gratefully recieved!

p.s. im a full on novice when it comes to cars lool
