Help!!
Anyway as if that wasn't bad enough the insurance company are now offering me the princely sum of ?500! The car runs perfectly having had a new head put on it 2 years ago. It was in pretty good nik (not perfect by any stretch but looked cool and drove like the wind!). I bought it for ?1500 when I moved back to the UK 18 months ago but in order to get the insurance company to up their valuation I need to show 2 or 3 other examples of similar vehicles at that kind of price.
The car had 212,000 miles on the clock but as I say the engine had been overhauled so ran like new.
SO…what I would very much appreciate is anyone out there who has a golf for sale or has recently sold a MK1 Gti for between ?1000-?2000 to contact me and give me details of the vehicle.
Even if you are aware of one for sale then send me a link so I can print out the info and send it to my chump insurers!
Please help. The car has been written off but I am determined to buy it back and get it back in tip top shape so any help would be very much appreciated.
My problem is exactly the reason why they have massively undervalued the car, there are hardly any for sale now which means they attract a premium.
Anyway I've got until the weekend to get back to the insurance so please help if you can. You can contact me on email at james.rankin@nyta.co.uk
Many thanks in advance…long live the GTiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii
