16v kr engine wont stay running
can anybody help recently my mk1 16v has started acting up the engine stalls when you turn it over unless you keep your foot on the throttle i changed the isv in the engine bay but still no gud i am open to any help thanks.cf_emoticons__BangHead:

Get it plugged into vag com. Do yo have a vag com port?

ha i hav no idea what that is am new to havn problems am ok with bodywork and interior but engines am no good at the mint where would i find that if it has 1 cheers.

Sorry just read the heading. You have the kr engine from a mk2. Don't think they have one. Could be wrong?
There are a few sensors that plug into air flow and fuel try unplugging them one at a time if it starts there's your problem.

How did you get on? Could it be something to do with your dizzy/timing. That's the problems you can get. Could it be running on 3 cylinders?

still the same a think am guna do a service on it and get it tuned a dnt drive it enuff for it to run right had it tested last week and its only dun 389 mile last year lol keep getn told off the wife sell it or use it.

think i have found my problem there is no power going to the isv in the engine bay would i be right in thinking it will be the little black box 244 under the dash board if so is there a way round this.

Check the vacum hose ECU to inlet. This must be 1M in length and the correct internal dia. Can be bought from VW.

just checked the isv moduel in the dash board and i have power going to that but not to the isv on the engine it isnt buzzing when you switch the ignition on.

anybody know where i can get a isv moduel unit and not silly prices and i mean the little black box i think thats packed in
