HELP ME 2 STOP SMOKING!

After a drive wen ive stoped ive noticed smoke coming frm the underside ov the engine bay. ive had a look but cnt see ware its coming frm. i have had a leaking rocker cover gasket but thats been replaced and the bay power washed (only way i could think 2 get the leaked oil off). Any ideas ware it could b coming from?

I can only imagine it's still a bit of oil, or whastever they used to power wash it burning off. What colour is the smoke? Does it smell, any hissing etc.

Yeah sounds like burning off mate, I assume you power washed it yourself! Dodgy process really, might of been worth you taking your time to wash by hand with some Gunk.

more than likely oil on the manifold if its "Burning" would not really smoke
too much if it were anywhere else really. Or as said above its the gear
you used to wash it off with burning off?.

i had a leaky rocker cover and every now and then it would drip oil and pool of oil would sit on the plate above the manifold, it would be harmless until i went up a steep slope or threw the car round a bend and that would be enough to for it to spil oil on the manifold or on the down pipes and smoke, when it burnt off it would smoke a fair bit but would only smoke for min or two, if the rockers leaking just get ya self a new gasket and fit that job done then no more smoke

you'l see mine done on here…….

hm, white smoke is usually steam, if it's mixed i would assume the edges of the gasket were drying out from cleaning/replacement (have you had exhaust done, as exhaust putty can smoke when drying out.)
. never know though! try to get some one in the drivers seat and see if you can see anything while revving etc. Don't rule out electrical after steam cleaning (but usually it will show itself as rough running etc due to water. Favorite spot for water/oil collection is the inlet manifole (where injectors are. Don't assume rocker cover refit went well!. might have pinched it etc. Other thing is to check for and pipe connections that may have been stretched at join (while moving rocker etc). Might be worth checking pipes have no kinks or breather from rocker top is not open etc.  Really difficult to diagnose from a screen. Got a camera?

OOh, almost forgot! Is it using any fluids? It might take a while to notice but keep an eye on water, oil etc. If theres a sharp stench of petrol then it's only one answer!!!!  STOP and check fuel line connections!!!!
