I had to start with the i'm new thread    

Bought a mk1 gti campaign in december to work on, not sure if our friend who we bought off is on here  8) was originally being done as a track car (got a 2ltr 16v in) but hopefully will be going the road by the middle/end of 2008

i'll get some progress pictures up soon, engine is out and sorted, new drive shafts should be delivered tomorrow or friday and the wheels and tyres that were on are due to finish on ebay soon so they will fund he new ones  

I'm trying to find standard Gti wheels think mine as mambo rims on but don't like them

Nice car! I see there's a number of parts missing from underneath the engine bay…..hopefully you can sort it all out and make a fast little car. Is that an ABF engine? I don't recognise the black thing in front of the inlet manifold.

Stock wheels should be easy enough to find, just make sure they go over your brakes - it might have uprated discs at the front, if its had an engine conversion…..

Nice Motor!  Hopefully all goes well its completion - Keep us informed.

Not sure standard mk1 GTI wheels would look right on it now. But which did you mean, if its the 13" 9 spoke ones, i'll be putting some in the for sale section soon
