Thanks hairyarse will get some more pics up ASAP
Well it's just standard 1.3 driver just now, not sure on engine plans just now,
Just had coilovers fitted, interior needs doin currently got mk2 scirocco seats in it, needs new headlining, carpets and door panels
Body not bad will prob get respray next year or in winter,
So any thoughts on engine then

It sounds like it's all 'bolt-in/on' stuff required then, not too much rust/rot which is always a good thing!
Engine wise, it depends what you're after? 20V turbo is the obvious choice, join the masses and have an easy conversion with plenty of support out there for looms, engine mounts etc.
Or go a bit more old school and find a G60 engine

Welcome to the club mate, lovely looking mk1 you got there!!
Agree with Hairy on the engine choices, they seem to be fav at the minute. Good luck with whatever you decide, there's plenty info out there and in here for both conversions.
