i currently drive a 1985 vw pol

but im looking out for a nice mk1 golf as a project car

anyways heres my polo

this is my boulivard coupe
got the early HK engin lowerd 60mm with a ,gk inlet manifold ,webber dmtr ,4-2-1 manifold and full custom stainless exhaust

and 13x7 smoor roadsters

its well nippy for a 1.3

revs to 7 k easily

i think it could do with a gt gear box tho
4speed dosent realy cut it ha

its an awesome little machine

this is how it started of (well sort of minus the -60mm springs and plush some colour coded caps for the wheels )




(minus the filter and carb)



then i bought a webr dmtr carb with a big bore gk inlet manifold (from the german spec mk2 gt)
didnt get a pic of the carb
but this is the difrence in original and the GK manifold



then took out the iletmanifold heater (hedge hog looking thing ) and ground and smoothed that for better air flow







and also removed the restricter wedge from the mounting plate





then treated myself to a stainles 4-2-1 manifold for 100 notes from a guy in gosport



then spent the day fitting it and cleaning up the engin bay


also managed to get a free straight throu G40 center section and gt back box  
for machining this for the dudes project  B)





i then managed to nag my friend into selling me his wheels
soo it looked like this











but i have unfortunatly skidded into the back of a merc



so it now looks like this

that's all that's happening to this now .
since the crash i havnt bin able to get the car how i wanted

so its time for a new project

theres a mk1 on ebay at the moment in chichester, owner is on this site, only just got it but having to sell said it was in good nick
