Just thought I would post up to say hello.

Just about to get a Mk1 Campaign, which my brother has owned for the
last 14 years.
Currently driving a Mk3 8v GTI, but don't hold that against me.

There is a vast difference between a MK1 & MK3 (I have a MK3 GTi too)

When you told me it wanted stripping and painting before bringing it home i thought it was going to be bad.
From the pictures it don't look that bad

I think you are expecting the mk1 to be as clean your mk3
