Hello

Just thought i'd say Hi and post a few pics of my car.

I've had my 1.3 driver for about 2 years and have slowly got her looking how I want.

Work carried out:

Respray in Regatta blue
Retrim front and rear seats (black vinyl)
BoggBros R6 bike carbs and manifold
Jamex shocks and springs 60mm
cross drilled and groved discs
chrome bumpers, wipers, flag mirrors and side trim
series 1 steering wheel
13" alley cat alloys
crystal clear headlights
original working blaupunkt MW AM radio

I'm currently thinking about an engine conversion: http://www.vwgolfmk1.org.uk/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=41668&highlight=

Here are a few pics. Hope you like. Last pic is the latest.

Cheers,
Tom (SW London)

For some reason the links keep disappearing. Think they're back at the moment.

really cool that mate, lovin the alleycats on the last photo.

and what a photo that is! looks really cool in front of those big town houses. An with the old sepia effect, like it's been sent back in time..

you settled with that ride height then? id go lower!

Hi,

Thats really nice. I absolutely love the last picture. Shame there is a BMW behind the MK1 spoiling it! The only think I'd do it lower it a bit more.

I agree looks wise it needs to be lower, but the sump/exhaust already have problems with speed bumps     (thanks to London's great roads)

Plus this ride/handling is pretty nice at the moment for a daily driver.

Hello.

I'm also new to the forum and haven't quite acquired my mark 1 yet but hopefully soon!!  Really hope i'm not jinxing myself by joining here first!!

Your little car looks awesome!  :D  :D   Exactly the chrome styling I'm hoping to achieve with mine - when i find the right one  :? .

Where did you acquire all the bits, if you don't mind me asking?

And also out of interest, where and how much were the seats to be re-covered?  Exactly what i'm planning on doing.

Looks like your on the river by the heli pad, used to live in Prices Court now near Wandsworth Common  :D  Will look out for your little car!
