Hello to all from across the pond....

I am new to this forum, but not new to forums in general.  Much of my internet time is spent sifting through Audi forums (Quattroworld.com, audizine.com, etc.) as my family has 3 Audis (2003 A6, 2001 A4, and a 1995 S6).

However the coup de grace in my opinion is a car my parents purchased brand spanking new back in 1980….an MK1 Rabbit Convertible.  There is just one problem….it is out of commission and has been for the past year  :(   I'm not really sure what is wrong, but that's where you all come in    :dontknow: but more on that later.

I hope you all don't mind a Tennessean in your forums.  Cheers.

This is the best pictures I could come up with at the time being.  This was back when the Rabbit (Bugsy as we call it…) was running like a top…..link to the stable

Thanks, I'm hoping one day when I have some money to do a 20vt conversion.  But right now I just want to get it back on the road!

I noticed it disappeared too…but now it's back.  Don't know.

You don't like the 20vt idea?  I just figured Bugsy needed a lil more pep in his step!  But I have zero funds for it at the moment (as everything I make goes towards my S6 Avant build)

Depends mate…. if it was a clipper or something then yeah throw a 20vt in but…. there's lots out there… not many standard  :dontknow:

It would make a great "sleeper" but it's up to you  :dontknow:

I'll have to toss it around.   There are a lot of VW guys (and gals) rolling around Nashville.  However I am the only MK1 I have seen thus far…

Personally mate I would keep it as standard as possible.

I may just do that.  That's the plan for the immediate future anyways.
