hello there!

Hello everyone

Signed up today in full, although been a 'reader' for sometime. Fingers crossed, will be heading off to Scotland to grab Campaign No2 this weekend and then starting her rehabilitation asap!
Just want to say, great forum, everyone seems proper sound and gives you decent advice - so thanks thus far to anyone that i've spoken to/pm'd. Talking of advice, if anyone knows a good B&B in edinburgh - give me a shout cos i'll probably need to stay there for a few days when the Mrs finds out i've bought another one!

Good health

welcome….

Dont forget your insurance discount with footman james.
If they are the cheapest for you the discount is a good bonus that should cover most if not all of your membership fee.

Welcome to the site.

Get some photos up of both of the mk1's, wish I had the space to have 2 of em :( .

If you have the time, you'd be very welcome at a West Midlands meet, they are held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, we end up at Toys R Us @ Junc.2 M5, we used to just meet there, but changed it around and now find a pub or somewhere scenic to meet at within 20 miles radius and then have a drive down first, quite entertaining

Keep an eye on the Regional meets for details of the next meet on Wednesday 15th October  :y:

Welcome to the site, glad you joined up too

As said above, some great discounts now in place including footman James, worth every penny and if you have 2 classic cars and a modern you can get great deals on multi car policies too..

Hope the trip to edinburgh is worth it..

thanks all the replies peeps, didnt go for the Scottish Mk1 in the end, but keeping up the celtic theme, one in wales i'll be collecting this week.
She should only need a bolster repair, carpet, p slots and a good valet and she'll be hittin the street for the first time in a few years!
Gammygti - will be seeing you at the Toys r Us as i only live in Bearwood, so a quick sprint down the wolvo road and i'll come and say hello!

Footman James came up trumps for the insurance too, less than hundred quid with 3 points too

Yeah, not so bothered about driving back from wales, the Scottish one was north of Kinross, around 350miles - looked at getting it transported, but could have bought another campaign for the price they quoted!
