Hello New member 1st car advise

Just wondering if anyone could give me some advise on a first car, obviously a MK1 golf but which one? :?  and what would the insurance be like for an 18 year old.

Go for a 1.1 or 1.3 and build up your no claims.

wats the 1.1 like? is there enough power for the size of the golf?

welcome, now then matey go for the 1.3 driver, middle of the pack got a lil bit of punch. iv got one as a project, cant insure a gti as im only 19! go 1.3 driver, get all the toys except the engine?neone else agree?

1.1 and 1.3 are roughly similar. obviousy the 1.3 is a touch quicker but there both nippy as hell.

 i used to own a 1.1 before and i can tell you now that is its just as quick as some new small engined cars - if not quicker!! (well when your driving it it definetely feels like it!!)

Think ide go for a driver as well but get a quote for a 1.5gx             classic insurance as the 5spd and extra cc means you will be able to do 90 on a track of course plus you get the same sort of seats as a gti (bucket) but only in 5dr

 this looks like a good one been 4 sale for a long time bet its best part of a year but they wante tooo much get it 4 as cheap as you can but v good base jus get the ins sorted first under classic ins if you can but one of the vw specialists in back of mags n good luck and welcome.
