HELLO MK1 OWNERS

hello everbody. I will be purchasing my FIRST mk1 golf in the next couple of months, so i will be searching ebay and autotrader for a good'un. Im thinking of spending up to ?1500 on the car, then more ??? restoring etc. Is ?1500 a good budget to find an ok mk1? any other advice appreciated.
cheers.

HI mate and welcome to the site. There's a guide on here to help you in your search, well worth a look I'd say. Then you have the For Sale Forum with loads of cars for sale.

I personally think ?1500 is a good budget and depending on how high you set your sights could get you any number of solid Mk1s.

Neil welcome to the site buddy!!  If you have no joy on our for sale section, check these:-

?1500 is a good solid budget.  Check all the rust areas (as mentioned) and even look at cars for ?1800-?2000 as they may be willing to drop a bit (everyone puts a bit extra on when selling cars).

Hope this helps mate and start a build thread when you find the car you've always wanted
