Hello MK1 golf world

Hi All

Justa quick hello from me. I was fortunate enough to buy ROXY from Bobby (great build thread on the forum, search ROXY)and am getting to grips with my first GTi. A bit of a departure for me from my 2CV (no laughing, they feel like the fastest car you will ever drive, especially at 70 mph downhill when the doors shake) and an uber cool citroen DS (1974).

Hope to meet some of you all at the Uttoxeter event in a few weeks. So far i've found the tech support on this forum outstanding.

 

Nothing wrong with a 2CV, I had two many years ago, a Charlston and then. Bamboo, in fact the only two cars other than my MK1 that were worth more than I paid got them.  Prices have hone silly nowadays.

The 2VC reminds me of Bill Baileys joke about hitting the policeman in the chin with the windows, they're not bad cars, like a french mans beetle!
