hello im new

hi im new to this site and i  thought seeing as im home now from my travels i should start a thread on my recently purchased dub( well 4 months ago)

i bought this as a moment of stupidity just before i left for oz for a bargain price. now im back i need to get it sorted out and on the road. well once i get a job that is….

i have always wanted one since passed my test and saw it so i bought it
91/92 volkswagen golf clipper cabriolet electric roof and windows
only fault is a couple or small wear rips in the rear of the roof in the lower corners

plans are simple for the moment with getting a new roof and tidying it up to start with then some new rims possibly bbs rms colour coded and coilovers then possibly a 2.0l 16v or 1.8t

got it taxed and insured today so im on the road woo hoo

had to jump start it so tomorrow im going to put the battery on charge and give the car a service and csmbelt change then maybe a wash depending on how adventurous i feel lol

I think it's definately worth doing…. need to get a job after 4 months in oz - that's going to be a shock to the system hey, specially given how laid back they are  8)    Good luck with that mate!
