Searcing for parts and expertise
I've been wowed by my GTI since I bought it up in Glasgow late last year - off Colin Storer who many of you will know produced this lovely Lhasa green 1.8. For some reason, the Golf decided that a small engine fire was a fitting Christmas present and after a brief stay in a local repair centre the loss adjuster decided it was a write off . Massive credit goes to the very helpful Heritage Insurance and the loss adjuster who didn't want to see such a quality car trashed. It's now in my shed and I've made a measured start at the repair - most parts available thanks to good old eBay. The two photos below show the before and after state. Can anyone help me find the oil breather pipes and associated connectors. If some one needs more detail - engine and chassis number then please ask. If anyone is in the Carmarthen area and knows how this all pieces together, there is a plentiful supply of tea and bacon & egg triple deckers waiting.
