My names phil and i am restoring a few vw's.

I'm hoping to start taking my mk1 gti to a few meets and shows when its done…

I was wondering what goes on in the suffolk area..

I live in Rendlesham near Woodbridge so not far….

you know of many meets around here im hoping to have my mk1 finished soon and I want to show it off a bit before I sell it, Im a member of suffolk bugrs but its more of a air cooled club…

What you running at the min..

colchester has a couple of meets now and then, haven't been yet as still new to the area and my mk1 off the road for a couple of months

it had a rusty back end..

and the head gasket was playing up so swapped the engine out..

i'm hoping to re tax her for the 1st of March though

So just the run off the mill mk1 stuff.. Is it still a standard gti lump??

march sounds good i want mine done then but i still have a fair bit to do

Hello everyone

I have a Mk1 Golf GTI in need of restoration.

It's in a shed, it isn't roadworthy and needs more work doing to it than I can manage.

I wondered if any of you could recommend a specialist in Suffolk / South Norfolk who might take on something like this?
