Hello from South Yorkshire

Hi everyone.
My names Jane and I have recently joined having just bought our first WV. It's a H reg Mk1 cabriolet in Inca blue metallic.
The body work is excellent and mechanically it is in good condition, although the interior needs a little renewing. We love it though!

The first few jobs will be to replace the wheels and then start buying a new interior when funds are available.

We are just looking forward to driving it about in the sunshine.
The forum is now my regular lunch time read. A lot of it is too techincal for me but it's great for information.
Here's the first pic. If it works I will put the rest on.

Thanks for the comments guys. My partner agrees about the wheels…

It took many hours of cleaning to get it looking like this but it's worth it. Slowly compiling a list of things I want to change.
Looking forward to a few shows to see what folk have done to theirs and picking up a few tips.

My partner wants to change the wheels. Other than that it's just little bits on the interior, carpets etc.
I'm used to pottering around in diesel maestros so its a luxury for me!

First time I've had a VW. Always liked the campers but never really looked at any other VWs in the past.

I used to have a Ford Mk1 escort dormobile convertible which was great. Looked like the ghostbusters car!
A couple of 2VS, Lada Niva, Vauxhall Chevette, and an old brown morris marina.

No doubt I will get hooked with this one now..
