Hello from newbieall

Hi peeps,I'm new to the forum.ive had a look around and seen some very nice cars.
im the new owner to a vw golf my 1982 diesel 5door,in blue.
im looking for some good advice on finding some new(ish) original seats or covers as mine are worn!
im also looking at sorting out the very poor brakes!!! Wow they do take some stopping its like a flintstone car!!
all advise appreciated, cheers peeps:thumbs:

Thanks for the welcome guys,yeah I'm thinking of becoming a full member as I'm looking at slowly doing jobs on the car.
I must say I'm very suprised how much I enjoy driving it.
But the brakes are scary at times :lol: these will be getting a look over at weekend O_o
I'm looking for new(er) seats as mine are full of holes!!!!!(anybody no of any seats for sale? Standard blue interior??cheers peeps :thumbs:

Brakes what brakes? 
You mean you've got some?   :lol:

I thought that's what the anchor and chain are for, attached to the back bumper. 
When you really need to stop, heave the darn thing out the window and at the nearest lamp post!

You'll get used to the brakes mate, they just need a good stamp - although when you get back in a newer car you'll end up having your face ripped off!

Can anybody point me a m the right direction as to what set I should use for the front brakes? 
I'm looking at using the car for a summer daily and would like to stop when needed.👍🏻😂
