Hello from New Zealand

Hi Chaps,
Recently joined up to the forum. Great to see so much Mk1 love!

As for me I own a 1980 Mars Red GTI. I purchased it while I was in High School in around 1996/7. Its the model which has the early alloys, plastic bumpers, and a 5 speed gearbox, but it has the earlier dash and trim, and small rear lights.
The car has had many mods since and is now a road legal track/targa spec car. Ill put some pics and specs up later if you like?
As for a daily driver I also own an Audi RS2.

Wheel wise I have 5 sets. Factory  13 inch 9 spokes in black with track rubber, white 15 inch Racing Hart CP 035, 15 inch Momo Star TYP 07700, 15 inch Momo Star TYP 08600 and 16 inch Momo Star TYP 4228. Yes I love Momo Stars.

The TYP 08600 and TYP 4228 have lips. I am refurbishing both sets at the moment. One set I am thinking of colour coding Mars Red, the other set might have gold centres and polished lips.
