Hello from new user and first vw golf mk1!!!!

Hi everyone,just registered and just bought my first vw mk1 gl cabriolet ( got sick of owning fords!!!!!) already got a few problems and will be looking for some helpful tips from you guys or girls!!!

I want it haha, but my mate Danny ust to have one the same :cry: and some horrid chavs took all the bolts but 1 out of his wheel and he was on the motoway and the wheel came off and he went off the motorway down a massive drop and in to a tree :cry:

Welcome along to the official Mk1 Cabriolet (and Hard Top) Owners Club!!

Where in the country are you because there will be a meet of some description (if you are in the North West, read well organised, regular and most attended on average!!) where you can get advice and have a nosey at other owner' cars.

Unfortunately i am in south east london,surrey,so no meet for me tonight,there isn't anything like that round here  :cry:

mate listen to chrisse dump the wheels and sell them to me……
looks 2 me like an original quartet, the bumpers are supposed to be that colour and the wingies ,
 those wheels are the originals 'avus' theyre called, mine has the same paint job and came with those wheels in red, sadly the wheels are no longer with us.
welcome and nice 1, most cabbies seem to have the clipper kit, personally i prefer the more mk1 ish look and that chrome strip down the bottom mmmmm.
