Hello from Hampshire

Hello everyone, just joined an hour ago. So pleased to have found this site!!

I am trying to add my car to the register but for some reason the field for entering your email address does not allow me to enter all of the characters?!?

I own a 1983 Mk1 GTI Campaign in Lhasa Green. I've had the car for just over 2 years and absolutely LOVE it!! I'm very pleased to have found one in such good condition for its age.

Anyway, might hear from some of you soon.

Hey guys thanks for the warm welcome.

I don't have any pics of my car but this weekend I intend on giving it a good clean and polish (if weather permits) and I have borrowed a friends digital camera so I will get a few pictures then.

Crazyquiff: I am in a little village called Lower Froyle? Not far from the A31 towards Farnham (Surrey). By the way, I ordered one of those locking petrol caps from you earlier today. I used the paypal option. When do aim to post it out to me? (not that I'm wanting to rush you of course)  :wink:

Anyone know the best place to get an original Mk1 Campaign gear knob? The one on mine is simply a big rubber golf ball (dimples all over it) and does not have the usual R, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 on the top?

I think the plain golf ball design is for the early GTi - not sure

I'll be getting in some new 5 speed ones hopefully in the next few weeks.

Hi Crazyquiff, just a quick one to say that I received that locking petrol cap on Saturday morning.

Glad the cap looks good.

Gear knobs should be about 2 to 3 weeks away.  Got a couple of things I need to sort with my supplier   but I'll keep you posted….

Havn't worked out prices yet as I havn't got all my costs in yet.  When I've got them I'll confirm the price but expect ?20-?30 region…

Any chance of helping me out with adding/editing my campaign on the register? I appreciate you're probably a busy bloke but I think if you extend the number of characters allowed in the Email field (not that my email address is that long) then I reckon I'll be able to add/edit my campaign. It appears that the email field accepts the same number of characters as the County field??

Anyway, any help will be greatly appreciated.
