Hello from across the pond

Hi folks,

Just wanted to say a quick hello. Signed up yesterday after a recommendation from current member; slippy.  I'm over in Northern Ireland and can see all the Scottish members on a good day, even the Isle of Man.

Usually a VW family, beetles, boras, golfs (loved my mk3 16v but sold it!), touareg, and a few other vag family ones.

I was given the ok by my great wife to buy a project, well for my 30th she was buying me it.  I am by no way mechanical/technical and the idea of it is scary enough, but what better present could I have wished for.

So I dived in at the deep end and bought a mk1 Gti clipper project. Will get a quick write up and intro started!
