Hello from a future Cabriolet owner!

Good evening, this is Grimsby calling! My names John and I discovered your club at the NEC Classic Show last weekend. Lucky for me my wife was with me cos she fell in love with the Mk 1 Cabriolet so we'll be saving for one hopefully next year - any colour you like as long as it's black apparently!!!!
I've an eclectic Classic Car history - over the years I've owned 3 Beetles (plus the wife's Newbie pre-babies lol), 1979 Bay camper, Alfasud Ti, Fiat 127, Series 1 Land Rover, 2x Series 3 Land Rovers, a Lightweight Land Rover with V8 conversion, MR2 mk 1 and a Triumph Spitfire. Sadly there's nothing interesting on the driveway at the moment, just Mrs B's Megane Scenic, my company Toyota Verso S and my ex-daily Volvo 850 estate which I keep forgetting to advertise for sale (or scrap)!
Anyway, I'll toddle off and check out your other chat topics and drool over the cars for sale section, just wanted to say hi

ps If the owner of the yellow Golf on the club stand reads this - your car is awesome - one of my top 3 cars at the show! 8)

Good luck on your hunt for a MK1 cabby, your liking of the yellow tin top means that you are not far away from saving, go on get a tin top, you know it makes sense !!

lol, thanks guys, I don't mind either  but for the sake of an easy life with my good lady we'll get a cabby first, then I'll work my way round to a tintop ….
