Hello Folks great site

Hi Guys, I,ve had my 92 golf GTI cab for 3 years now and have just stumbled on your site, really good packed full of info and you guys are real enthusiasts.

Im 25 and live in tenerife, I always loved the Mk1 and eventually got one from germany. When I got her she was not in good shape needed complete overhall, I also fitted new electric hood.

I use her very little, I hve a Ford focus st for the day!!!

I know you guys love the cars as they are standard but please accept im young and silly which is why I have put on the alloys ( ive kept the original ones) and the windows are blacked for the sun as are most cars out here.
Please let me know your comments thanks and great site.

hello welcome to the site, are there many mk1's in tenerefe ? how is it getting parts?.  get some pics up ( but non of glorious sunny beaches with half naked ladies as that would be rubbing it in  :wink: )

well im quite lucky really, I have a great mechanic who gets the parts from england for me in about three days!! I even managed to get a doorhandle last week from the local VW dealer in stock!

There is a couple of Mk1?s out here

are you using photobucket or equivelant ?  copy it from there , click onto Img in the post a reply page, then paste and i think that should work
