Hello everyone from Greece :)

Hello mk1 owners/lovers .I am new here so i would like to introduce myself.I am 20 years old and i live in Athens,Greece.
I study in Electronics department about 3 years,and now i have for my transportation a Seat ibiza 03 (115hp) but in a few days i am thinking of buying a golf mk1 an personalize it .Also i have a Peugeot 106 (group national 2) and i take part in rallies here in Greece.I f there is someone here in the club who is from Greece it will be great.

hmmm…I don't have decided yet..But i want my golf to have the small bumpers and the small rear lights.

You are after an early model then mate a series 1.  They are hard to find over here and cost more than the series 2.  Are there lots of mk1's for sale over there?

nope..It's extremely difficult to find one of series 1 here.There are many differences between the 2 series?I f i buy a series 2 mk1 can i change it to series 1?

You would have to change the rear panel to get the smaller lights mate.  They had different wings but I don't think you would need to change them the boot/tailgate may be different, the dash, interior, bunmper etc… depends how much you want to change mate.  They look the same but there are a fair few differences.  If you just want the smaller chrome bumpers I think they just swap over… you will have to take the bracket off at the side of the wing or it'll look strange  :dontknow:
