Hello Everybody!
Now that would be telling!!!
Today i've just been and picked up this lovely VW MK1 Convertible.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=170290683029
Not too sure if you can view this, but when it said Moss Security, I couldn't find anything but moss all over it!!!
So hopefully I'll be accepted on this forum now that I own one! To be fair I have owned a couple of Mk1's along with quite a few other VWG vehicles.
So if anyone could tell me anything about this lovely white leather dash, then I'd be glad to hear.
As for paying up and joining the forum full on, then give me a few minutes to sort it all out, as I'd be glad to do so!!!!!

I've done it, and think it's a worthy cause.
As for a budget…. Sore point in our household! :?
I used to own a cracking Red 1983 MK1 GTI back when I was young. I was the 3rd owner, in 1988… some years after I sold it (because it wasn't big enough for the family) a friend of mine told me he knew where it was!!! I just had to buy it back!!! I ended up being the 9th owner as well. To be fair (not bragging) I knew all the owners.
To cut along story short, my wife needed room for the extension on our house etc. and because I hadn't done anything to it she made me move it. I gave it to a friend to look after and I then found out last year that he had scrapped it!!!
As the wife is now bombing around in her MK2, i thought I'd chance my arm on this stunning old banger. I think the wife might be on a guilt trip and here we are today. Mind you she has just made comment about my Touareg needing the heave ho 8O !!!! Typical for her, but the truck is staying put.
Is she sound? Not had a look yet, just dumped her in the workshop on the trailer, as i own my own garage…. Sound or not, this is not going to be a problem.
She has a few bits missing, but I'm not to sure what I will end up doing to her, either she'll be standard as the day is long, or I'll end up ruining her!!! My head says standard
Now then as for the Moss….. I think the pressure washer will be hitting it first!
