Hello everybody

Hi everybody, my name is Rafael and I'm brazilian and currently living in Argentina.

I bought a '79 MK1 2dr 1.1L in April 2009 and started a restauration/upgrade project that I will post here if you are interested.

It is very dificult for us, here in South America, to get parts and information about this vehicle and since the day which I bought the car, the searches and web pages from UK and Germany about MK1 are the most interesting thing for the free time.

I already bought several parts in ebay.de and ebay.co.uk, as well as, I need to buy other several in Crazyquiff's, Eurowagen, etc.

My main objective is learn about this model with you, since there is no other place in the world which knows and talks about the MK1 than here.

We have a Golf club here in Argentina and a specific MK1 team but we are no more than 15 crazy guys that love the MK1. You can imagine our problem.

I appreciate every help you can provide me and I'm here for any thing that you need.

In the weekend I'll post my project and the pictures to you.
