hi, im a newbie. but will no doubt know a few of you already. at the moment iv got a stripped out mk1 1.1c with gti suspension and brakes, -30mm springs, a polo 1.3 gt engine running on yamaha R6 bike carbs. its my 1st mk1 and also my 1st project, soon to be finished ( i hope)!

Got your clutch sorted yet?  I'm going to chuck that gearbox into mine on Sunday and then hopefully get that hub swapped one evening next week.

At last years MOT my tester said he wasn't sure he linked the look of the brake pipes - I'm using a different MOT man now so we'll see if he says to change them or not.

nope, havnt taken the box off yet. got the new engine running last nite tho on that single weber that i got    sounds great just on that so i cant wait to get the bike carbs on!

Keep us updated on how you are getting on with the Bike Carbs…

I have a 16v lump which I hope to run on Bike Carbs too but nowhere near getting it all in the car at the moment…
