Hello and help please

Hello all  
I may be an unwelcome newbie as I am completley ignorant about my car. It was a gift from my husband and much as i love her i have to say goodbye.The problem is i know so little about her i am loathe to advertise her in case i give the wrong information. I am hoping all you who do know about Mk1s will be able to aid me by just helping me sell her acurateley. This is what i know! She is a cabriolet in red with black roof, reg in Feb 1982. The log book says CC is 1588 but she has had injection added and now sports a GTi badge. She has also had power steering added and rear seatbelts.  Is she a hope-less cross breed? Any advise very welcome. All in all she is good runner ( mot etc) body wise could do with a bit of love and internally spotless. SHould I sell her as a GTi or not ? Thanks in advance

If you ABSOLUTELY must sell your car I suggest you take some pictures and list it as you have here in the for sale section of the forum and let ppl here make their mind up what to call it

On the other hand would suggest that unless there is some reason why you  really cannot bear to keep it and have to sell it, that you should spend some time getting to know what is a very nice sounding cabby. You will not be disappointed

Just had a look very nice looking cab, i hope you have very, very, very, very good reason for selling  :cry: .I would garage it and keep it, it must be worth more to you than what you are asking for it.
On the other hand it will make someone a very nice cabby for the summer
