hello all

just having a look at the classic VW scene again

owned a MK1 GTi cab on a y reg(pre big bumper) a while back and would like to get into it again.

Dont own a VW at present but just parted company with a 52 V6 4-motion golf  which was ok!!.

still into my old cars so will be trying for meets and shows too.

Hiya!!!  Where are you based as there will probably be a mk1 meet near you!!!  Glad you're coming back to the good old days  :mrgreen: !!  I was only 5 when these came out and I love every bit of it… you won't be disappointed… what variant you going for and when are you planning on getting one?  There's a fair few lately in the for sale section at good prices.  Welcome aboard  :wink:

There's a North West meet mate.  Nip over there (check the regional section) to see what sort of thing you're after as it's good to see mk1's in the flesh.  There's also the Annual Golf Meet on 23rd - 25th of this month…. good place to maybe purchase/look at all sorts of mk1's  :wink:
