Hello all
Hello all
I am a big golf fan having owned 8 in the 11 years that I have been driving. Starting with a mk2 Driver and then having had most of the mk's. The only one that remains with me is a mk1 GTI that I have owned for about 5 years. After a year of driving it, I wanted a more modern feel and more power, so purchased the front end of a 20v turbo and sold the engine out of the mk1. Unfortunately there it stood as I had a brief fling with some wired and stupidly fast stuff !! but I have always wanted to get the mk1 sorted. Now is the time to bring 830Y back to life.
The plan is to get the 20v turbo lump in and if I enjoy driving it then spend more time on the body and detailing it.
Does any body out there know where I can buy the engine and gearbox mounts? (I am hoping to fit a 02a gearbox) or have other Ideas on which gearbox to fit?
Regards
Andrew

Good to see your back on track. Like said before, try posting up about the mounts in the technical sections to get a better response.
