Hello all

Hello everyone, been having a quick look through the site for the last few weeks and though i might aswell register. Don't really know much about golfs so hopefully this site will come in usefull.
Have wanted a mk1 golf for quite a while now, it was a toss up between that and a beetle, i bought a beetle which i love but am now thinking of selling up for a golf.

Im still undecided on cabriolet or hard top although i think cabriolet seems to be slightly infront as ill be able to take my private plate off retention.
is there anywhere people can recommend looking, i came across club gti this morning so ive registered for that.
Any advice on buying much appreciated.

Personaly i'd go tintop, I've done the same, had a beetle, then a karman beetle convertible, then a cabby golf, now just gone for a tintop GTI, IMO much better…

Each to your own tho, does your personal plate suit a cabby then or is it just cos it needs to go on a higher reg

yeah its an age thing with the plate needs to be on a 'C' or higher, still undecided, but im not in any major rush ill probably make my mind up when i see the right car with any luck

I had an S reg plate, was cool, it was S 14WSY so S for steve and rest for lawsy

Stuck it up on new reg and what i got for it, woudl have almost paid for me tintop…  :dance:
