Guernsey newbie

Mornin' all,

Just introduce myself to the forum, been a member of various in my time (TVR, MB, Land Rover) but found this one, so here I am.
Only problem is…..I don't own a MK1 Golf…..yet!
As you can understand it's a bit awkward getting over to the UK from Guernsey to view a car.
I've been looking on 2 sites mainly (Pistonheads & Autotrader) been close to securing a deal twice, only to be pipped at the post, and for the owner to withdraw the sale!
So hopefully this forum will help me find a nice MK1 Cabriolet, and give advice on upkeep etc.

hey welcome to the club, threres plenty of cars for sale on here and they seem to be reasonably priced at the moment.

We have some family friends that live in Guernsey . Its such an beautiful place. I bet you love it there!

Keep looking around for a Golf and the right one will turn up. There was a Cabby for sale in Guernsey a few weeks ago at one of the garages.

I'll check out the for sales on this forum, and yes Guernsey is a beautiful island. We've been here approx 3.5 years now, moved from Corby, Northants.
Occasionally cab's come up for sale here, but I haven't seen many this year so far!
