Greetings from South Africa
Im very impressed with your forum, already got loads of information that I could not get anywhere else.
Hope to get more info as I am interested in the older versions of the Golf Mk1, as most of you know we still get the MK1 supplied new from VW South Africa.
I am more interested in the older "Classic" look like the older GT or GTi..
Does anyone have a Timeline of Picture & Specifications I can have a look at?

Rajan, our chairman, had just finished a time line - from memory the link is on the right on the home page.
Are you still looking to buy a MK1 or do you have one?
Cheers
Andy
