Good afternoon all!
what I was looking for!. I currently own a 1983 GLI 1800.
All standard, even down to the radio, with about 87k (belived genuine).
She is not perfect, but looks good for 22yrs old, still lots to do to her
but time & 3 children hinder progress!, anway Ime sure i will make
good use of all of your info when ime stuck indoors!.
first time on here , so hopefully photo will come out?

I used to own a mk1 - well I've had 2 actually - YDU 720X & SMU 420Y. Currently I drive an 98 Scotia White Mitsubishi Evolution V RS…. fancy getting another mk1 someday

I have had a look at all of the other cars on this site and some of
them are incredible, a real labour of love and some very proud owner
no doubt!. I have had qiute a few cars over the years and have 3 at
the moment, 2 VW`s 1 Ford (sorry its the Wifes!) but the secne
that goes with Golfs is second to non in my humble opinion!.
I am always on the look out for rare parts for my own car here in
Northants, but If anything rare or interesting turns up at the local breakers
and someone else can use it I will keep you all posted.
Should be out and about this year, so hopefully will bump in to a few of you!

That looks really good, nice to see the Standard approach still shining through!!
I'd better book into the body shop for a little tarting up soon as mine will be looking shabby in comparison!!
