GLi Convertible

Hi, I have a 1983 GLi 1800 Convertible and I have been told it is quite rare, would anyone know if this is true? It was purchased in Germany as a right hand drive as the owner intended to return to  the UK with the car.
Thanks

Yes indeed, not many GLi's about at all nowadays. Basically the same engines as the GTI, but with much more chrome and without some of the hard sporty suspension of the GTI. Nice compromise of handling and comfort, particularly suitable for the cabriolet!

Pics!

Welcome to the site.

Cheers,

Drew.

Hi Drew, thanks for your help, no pics cos its in a bit of a sorry state at the mo. Mechanically its fine but needs the bodywork sorting. Got it booked in for new front wings, rear arches, cills and respray next week. Started to pull away some of the mud from wheel arches and I ended up with half a rotten fuel filler pipe in my hand ha ha!!!
Hope to have some pics soon.
See ya!
