G'day from Australia. 1981 Volkswagen Rabbit GTI

Hi, my name is James & I live in Perth, Western Australia. I have a 1981 VW Rabbit GTI. When I first got it, it was a left-hand drive automatic, it's now a right-hand drive manual. It's had a full respray and body kit, brand new canvas roof and the engine has been completely rebuilt. It has new sports suspension and disc brakes. Now I'm done on those I want to work on the interior because it is pretty tacky, well the dashboard anyway. I'm eventually looking to put a 1.8L out of a mk2 into it. it definitely needs some new wheels. I went to an exhaust fitter and told them to put the loudest exhaust on it they can. It now purrs and if you hadn't seen it you'd think it was a v8.

Well here are some pics  :) They really don't do it justice, the colour is something you have to see in person to appreciate.

Tiger Orange. It's a Holden Commodore colour. In the pics it looks red, it's more of a metallic orange.
