First Old VW. Newbie from Neath - South Wales

Hey guys.

Signed up to the site a little while ago after buying a MK1 Rivage.

I had used the site for a lot of info before buying the car which did come in handy.

Ive been into VWs for a few years now and used to have a MK4 GTI untill some women crashed into me.

After the accident i decided to buy a MK1 as ive always wanted.

Heres a few pics of what i used to have.

Shame it didnt look like that after the crash.

Anyway here are a few pics of my MK1.

Please ignore the dodgy steering wheel cover lol. Its only there to stop any wear.

The car is rust free as far as i can see and the paintwork is in good condition for the year.

Plans for the car are to keep it completly standard.

Late next year i plan to have a bare metal respray with all pannels removed and re-sealed underside.

The wheels will also be re-polished as they do have some marks.

Hopefully next month i will be having a new mohair roof.

Well thats it from me now.

I will update as  things are done.

Comments welcome.

Ceri.

When i first got it i did plan to change the wheels and lower it but after driving it for a few months now ive decided to keep it completly standard.

Would anyone know where i can get the standard radio from?

Cheers

Yeah the carpet is clean but its worn in places so just going to get it changed the same time as the roof.

I did see a company in pvw and they looked pretty good.

Ive already looked at wheels (loads of them) but i have decided to keep it completly standard.

What you going to do to yours?
