Evening all newbie from Broxbourne/Nazeing in Hertfordshire

Evening all I picked up my first mk1 a few weeks a 3 door tin top 1983. It was originally a 1.1 but was converted to a 1.6 on k-jet years ago. It's had 5 owners from new and was first purchased just up the road so has always been local.

I bought it from a mate of mine who had made a good start on her. There was some rot on the rear panel and arches so he removed the rear panel replacing it with and original new vw part and has given me the rear arches so will get those on and then all it will need it a new sill ( me being fussy) and it will be mint structualy. Sadly Somone attempted a DIY spray job and it's just awful so I will be repainting the whole car.

The car has had some little upgrades by my mate as he had different plans to me (track car) and its been fully polybushed with front and rear upper and lower strut braces.

The wheels on it are terrible as well as the Susspension.

My plan is to restore it to its former glory with some subtle changes. Coilovers, my 13" 3 peice Compomotive CX alloys and a retro theme…

I'm on the hunt for a non gti interior if anyone has one for sale? I need the lot roof lining, parcel shelf, seats and new dash as mines been butchered so if you have any of the above let me know

Cant help you out with the bits you need but theres a parts wanted section on here would be worth you putting a post up in there, also have a look at some of the cars that people are breaking
