New to the forum and sadly dont own a Mk1 Golf yet  

Im currently in the market looking for one.

I own a 230bhp Ibiza Cupra which Im wanting to use as a donor for a  Golf Mk1.

Plans to put the 230bhp engine in the mk1 or sell the cupra for the chas to fund the mk1?!  :wink:

My plan is to find a Mk1 shell that I can get stripped down repainted.

I would sell all the running gear form the Mk1 Golf to help fund the project aswell.

Once that was done I would then start to strip down the Ibiza. There is probably ?2.5k's worth of extra's on the Ibiza that I could sell which would help pay for the conversion.

Before I do all this I need to locate a mk1 shell first  :?

Problem is Im in Scotland and most these cars are down south

hi cupra you right about golf mk1 in scotland i have a gold mk1 and a project i had to go down south for mine 1 family owner 83 driver

well, Scotland presents a whole new ball game. Check out the Scottish Regional Page on the left. You could always ask one of these guys if they would donate their car?  :dontknow:  8O  :wink:
