Post

Been on this forum for a while, but thought I'd introduce myself properly now that I own a mk1 and am a paid member (yey)! Bought her in April and have already had loads of fun times in her including a trip to Le Mans! I'm a complete novice so will be coming on here lots. and going back to my dads when in need but plan to learn as much as I can and bring her to events!  Ive waited for as long as I can remember to find my dream car, here she is:

Hopefully see you all in a couple of weeks!
Rach (Chester)

p.s. I also have the polo so I don't hurt her in the winter!

Trip to Le Mans in it must have been great - any pics to share from the trip of your cabby?

Thanks! Few bits need doing but nothing urgent I don't think, to name a few - cracked engine mount, rubber bit missing from gear linkage somewhere (just a bit rattly), fuel cap expels air (new though but can't be a good sign), central locking meant my windows weren't working well so have taken out one side but not the other (rubbing on the unit), ummm slightly leaky roof hydraulics but not as bad as I thought, then I wanna change the rear suspension so friends can sit in the back without mud flaps scraping the floor, oh and my tonneau snapped a bit but I fixed that with a towel   can't remember if there's anything else!

Nice meeting you at the agm Rachel. Sorry to hear about your grand father and I hope he's made a full recovery.
Greig.

First Golf, lots of work. I've started so I'll finish!
