Coming to the UK Soon - pics added

Hello,
I'm new to the forum, i signed up because i'm moving to Bristol on February 8th, from Calgary, Canada. I was born and raised until 9 years ago in Stroud, Glos, so i'm just coming home for a few years.
I currently own a MK1 Rabbit(golf) LS 1.7, and have had about 5 MK1's to date.   I'm looking to find a decent MK1 in the UK as a weekend driver.
This looks like a good place, lots of helpful people with some nice cars for sale. In calgary we have a forum which is pretty good and very similar to this one - www.clubveedub.com.

Heres a link to some pics of two of my old rabbits and of my wifes vento we just sold.

The bronze one i still have but i have guy coming to pick it up at the end of the month, but its a auto with a 1.7ltire FI, its slow, but i was planning on swapping out for a 5 speed in the summer, but now i'm moving so she has to go.
And the white bunny was was my last project, i picked her up for $150 running, but she was rear ended so i cut her up and put in the a small taillight year end, re painted in the original cashmere white, and installed a 1.8 litre GTI engine, she moved pretty quick after that.

And the vento seems to not be a very popular car is the UK, but its was a great little car, lowered about 2.5 inches, chipped, K&N, stainless exhuast.
But to many electrical issues with windows and the heated seats, stupid mexican build cars.

I'll for sure head out to some meetings when i arrive, hopefully i can find a nice MK1.
