Citi Golf 1.3

Am sure you all know this but we still have Mk1 Golfs for sale in South Africa, here is a pic of my 1300 5spd:

Welcome to the site. Cool car you have there. Do you get 3 door versions or are they just 5 door ?

Just the 5 door, the only 3 doors left are the old Golf GT (1983 or so) and the even older Golf L 1100.  These days the Citi Golf range has a 1.4 carb engine, a 1.4i and a 1.6i. The current model has a new dashboard, from a Seat I think and has the full size front window like the newer Mk2's.  Check out http://www.vwsa.co.za to see the pics.

Nice car, I do have a soft spot for the citi golfs and I really like the new one with its lupo style wheels and interior 8)

Does the 1.3/1.4 citi golf have the 085 gearbox? If it does, how much is an gearbox mount from the dealer? Does it have a cat? Got any pictures of an engine bay from the 1.4? Sorry for the questions, but I'm putting a tuned 1.4 ABD engine into mine and having to make parts which VW may already have.

We have the smoked / red rear lights in stock taht are exactly the ones you are after. The guys at the SW meet saw them this weekend so can vouch for how good they really look.
